The more I see written about protecting ourselves from "narcissists" the more narcissism in society I see to begin with.
I don't even trust the moderators of those oh so facile videos.
If we have so much bloody SELF HELP in this effed up country the USA why is there still so much despair hopelessness and failure?
And not just here but mostly here.
HOW COME????
Why? Because being selfish is not the problem but only a SYMPTOM?????
Can anyone make a cogent video about the ORIGINS of all this dysfunction here and why that's the real question..what to do with the sicko foundations of a society that CREATES so much dysfunction and shame and loneliness in the first place?
Or do people make fifty dollars from these useless videos so they will just never stop?
Ya know what? Feel bad, leave us alone. How's that one?

@Elevatorpitches I also have a sense of defeat when I see what happens in this world and how the wicked get their ways and are rewarded,sadly this is human nature as its worst,but those videos are not useless they try to educate the public and I believe they are suceeding,at least people can have easy access to information about narcissistic disorder,one could not before and it is only recently that some therapists are seriously concentrating on this disorder and can help the victims,in my days there was no such thing narcissits used their devilish skills to fool marriage quidances counsellors and other therapists and pass themselves off as the victims.Now those who specialise in narcissistic personality disorder can see through the narcs maneouvers and their lies and the results they have on their victims,they are no longer so easily fooled.But sadly there will alway be enablers and those people are doing just as much harm as the narcs,this is why we must do our best to ecducate as many people as we can.

It perfectly nice ordinary people without the disabilities I have, acting like people like me LOVE to suffer so we do this stuff to ourselves.
Can't ever get past that one my verbose friend.

Also this flavor of the week when it comes to problems in society is the cheapest shot I have ever seen, it all comes from the advertising racket. Its only to make money. In the fifties the concept of juvinile delinquincy was all the rage. Seems quaint now. But it put HUGE amounts of money into many WRONG people's pockets.

@Elevatorpitches I am not being verbose,I a speaking from experience having myself greatly suffered from narcissists and their shenanigans,I am on line and try to help others,I see all that suffering around me,I have nursed people for 41 years as a registered nurse and also as a psychiatric nurse and seen the ravages caused by narcissitic abuse,I want to give help and support,and you must also recognise that there are good people out there,thanks God for that!

and I for one always end up suffereing again, in spite of any good people I ever met.
Its just that kind of world, and lord knows any time I am less funked out and I SAY THIS
I get shot down by eveyone and agreed with by one or two
and then nothing changes
AGAIN.
Lets all just put up that happy face and play it out once more, g'night dear souls...

@Elevatorpitches @Elevatorpitches Yes I recognise that we can easily dispair in this world,one has only got to see who is at the helm of this world and then we understand why we are in such a mess,it is a combination of the determination of the wicked to get where they want to be and the apathy of "good men and women who do nothing" to stop them or are gulled by them.But what is happening in Belarus should give us hope that in some way the world is changing,good people are fighting back,they have had enough and fight we must on the grand scale and in smaller way,it must be done.
