I wonder if a lifetime spent with narcissists can eventually when reaching a certain age predispose the victim to dementia,it tires the brain so much and the kind of hormones that are released in the system when constantly under stress I believe can damage the brain permanently.People can suffer from post traumatic stress after years of narcissistic abuse,their judjement and memory can be affected to such an extent that they can no longer work efficiently at their chosen profession.Narcissists can and do destroy people.

I went through it years ago but luckily for me got the courage to get away before more damage was done to me,sadly many people suffer in those relationships but are not aware of what they are up against and how toxic and destructive those people are ,this is why I am trying to spread some awareness about this disorder.Sadly in this world narcissists are often enabled,they are so good at manipulating others and are so devious, they fool so many people.

@Beatbox34 Yes, it can certainly do that,it did the same for me,I did not know how toxic such people could be and that there is no cure for it and how deliberately cruel and destructive they could be,as they have no conscience,now I realise that many "leaders" around the world who turned out to be tyrants(just look what is happening in Belarus at the moment)and the leader of the communist party in China are in fact narcissists,this is why the world is in such a mess.

@berangere I agree. From what I've seen, Narcissists are ALWAYS right and pointing your finger at their mistakes will bring hell into your life. They have no conscience whatsoever and they could care less if a person is dead as long as that person is some relevance/use to them.

These people are emotional leeches who will suck everything off you and leave you for dead. Even if they do return then its to ensure we're dead.

@Beatbox34 @Beatbox34 Their reaction to being told they are wrong or being confronted about their behaviour is called "narcissistic rage" most if not all narcissists will react this way when confronted,it is also a mean to distract and confuse you.

@uncalled4 @uncalled4 Yes,by identifying what narcissists do to others and who they are we learn to protect ourselves better from future association with them.
