My mom bought baby clothes for my gmaws doll today because the doll hasn't gotten any new clothes for years.
And yes, gmaw sometimes talks to her doll as if she was real.

I’ve seen nursing homes have dolls for people to “take care of”. And I’ve heard of people with dementia being given dolls to hold.
