Switching to Lemectal

I was on Dilantin for 20 something years and I had a seizure. Doctor switched me to Trileptal. It was working. But it depletes my sodium. And no doctor wants to prescribe me sodium meds. Now he's switching me to Lamictal. I got to increase the dosages every two weeks. And then he can get me off the trileptal. Supposedly you will not call will not deplete my sodium. But it's making me sick. Massive headache cuz three in the morning. Sick to my stomach if I move around too much. I can't even leave the house without great difficulty.

I take 200mg of Lamictal every morning. I have bipolar 2 and it's been a great mood stabilizer for me. If it's making you so sick you need to see a doctor because that's not a common reaction. You don't deserve to suffer like this. The side effects of these medications can be worse than the condition they're supposed to treat,l hate it.

@PinkMoon thanks for responding. If the illness persists, I'll tell my doctor.

They got dispensaries all over the place but it's a pain in the ass getting a card. Does THC help with nausea and headaches? If so I'll jump thru the hoops to get one.
@Prisoner1972 Yes, it does, and having epilepsy/seizure disorders qualifies automatically in most states. Also, purple indica strains, like Flo and Grape Ape, have been shown to help reduce the frequency of seizures, and if one is happening, reducing it's severity.

Even though I don't work in one, I do have my credentials to work in one, plus I have been sudying Cannabis since January 1993 as a serious hobbyist researcher and got to know many heavyweights in the Medical marijuana community on a first name basis over the years.

@NativePortlander1970 but what about this? Will THC make the Lamectal metabolize faster? I have to ask because my doctor won't give me a straight answer. He's a VA doctor, Of course he has to tell me using THC is a Federal crime and there's no studies of what say THC will do. So I can't get a straight answer from him.

I'm concerned about the "weed doctor." Is he/she work for the weed company, to where he/she is expected to endorse weed, getting kickbacks from the pot farm so they can sell more weed?

The VA doctor has to tow the party line of the Federal Government. No question about that.
So my question involves the interest of the weed doctor. Could he/she be getting kickbacks, creating a conflict of interest?
@Prisoner1972 No, they're not getting kickbacks. Of course your VA doctor would tow the prohibitionist lie and never give a straight answer, but check out US Patent #6630507B1, if it were so bad, how come the US government has a patent on it as a neuroprotectant. As for thc/cbd interactiin with your med, I am unsure.
Do you live in a legal rec state?
