I Have A Loved One With Dementia

Any advice and support related to caring for my grandfather with dementia would be really helpful. He basically raised me and it's so hard, he's so loved by the whole family. Just really struggling to see this happen to him and looking for solidarity.

My mom had Alzheimer's and I would buy her movies she liked from the old days. Maybe your grandpa would like that. Even getting him a stuffed toy animal might spark a smile. Or talk about the old days with him or something he might remember the two of you did. Or just hold his hand if he lets you. Or give him his favorite cookie or treat. Just being there will show him you love him and it will comfort him.
