I Have Aspergers Syndrome

I have always been quite contrary to the rest of my peers and other people surrounding me in my everyday life. It wasn't until around 5 years ago that I was taken my GP to be assessed, my parents were under the proposition that my peculiar behaviour and mannerisms were due to my OCD, which I also suffer from. My mother then happened to come across an article in a magazine about the Autism spectrum and the different types and severities of the condition and the symptoms. Shortly afterwards I was taken to my GP and given assessments, and now that I think about it, having Asperger's does explain a lot of things. Such as, my unwavering interest in Mathematics and science, how awkward I am around people, how emotionally detached I am compared to other people and my sensitivity to noise and dislike of physical contact.
