It does not look how most people think
Oftentimes people will talk to me about autism and autistic people as if they are some alien species, and they don't realize I am autistic!
I was diagnose with asperger's when I was young, and I was a lot of trouble for my teachers sometimes 😅 But one teacher recognized it early and I went to special education after school in order to learn social rules.
Now most people don't know I have any spectrum disorder. It does not make much of a difference in my life, but it does help me in some ways 😊 I have a hobby due to my special interest (paper things.) I always say what I think is wrong, and always try to help in any way I think is right. I am very detail-oriented at my job. Sometimes, I don't feel like socializing and my social battery is low, but it just means I am introverted and can have fun on my own. I sometimes don't understand other people reactions and intentions though. I am always surprised when someone turns out to be strange if they seem nice 😅
