ChatGPT is an absolute game changer if you're on the spectrum or have ADHD
I know AI, and LLMs in particular, get a lot of hate. But generative AI has been ridiculously effective at helping menavigate social aspects of life. I don't mean real-time conversations, but things like what information should go on CVs, what the literal expectations of a job/role are vs what they put in the description, what it means when a manager tells me a certain thing at work, etc. Professionalism is so intensely anti-autistic. I have learned so much from just pinging ChatGPT about stuff instead of trying to reason through it myself it's honestly embarrassing. I'm super high functioning so I come off as completely capable and understanding but maybe a little quirky, but using deferring to ChatGPT whenever I feel that familiar twinge or a missing piece of understanding has been so relieving in the past few months that it's made me cry a few times from how simple the answer turned out to be. So many simple, but completely essential, things that I never ever would have guessed on my own.
