My son has Aspergers, totally understand.

@SW-User I was diagnosed as an adult with mild Asperger's Syndrome, which is the lowest level. It explained so much of the unusual experiences that I'd had before then.

@SW-User Took me literally years to get some answers to why my Son's behaviour was not quite the norm. Understanding and acceptance as come along way in 20yrs. Im fortunate to say he's doing quite well despite his differences I'm proud of his achievements. It was hard work fighting 'the system'.

@SW-User I can understand. You sound like a great dad. The system wants us to conform. The beatings i took at school because they thought i was just a naughty child were horrific. And when i demonstrated that i was quite clever at certain things that didn't help either. It was all about conformity. I'm really hoping that things have improved for kids with Asperger's now.

@SW-User I hear ya, getting through to the school system where we lived in a rural was like pulling teeth! 😟 I did a lot of volunteer work.
