I have never gone to a psychiatrist and been properly assessed and labeled anything
I definitely have anxiety and social anxiety and have suffered from panic attacks (rarely now though).
I know my mood goes up and down quite a bit (noticeably).
I also have a lot of indicators of ADHD haha
So the answer is yes I do have issues… but I have no legit fancy labels

@WaryWitchWandering Would you say that your panic attacks have subsided due to the contributing factors of sobriety?

@Levenrack oh that for SURE enhanced all of my issues (the drinking)… I would get massive hangxiety, it would wake me in the middle of the night and stick around until later the next day and then I would start all over ha.
But, I had panic attacks even before I started drinking (in early adolescence and onward).

@WaryWitchWandering Same. And I know that.... I knew it was affecting my anxiety.
It definitely made everything worse, physically, but kept that train (abuse cycle) on moving.
Ok, serious talk for a minute.
When I stepped up the alcohol, I began seeking treatment for my anxiety and depression. I tried quite a lot of different meds that didn't work.Well duh, alcohol will do that. I had to start up with a new provider, cause the one I had, he decided to roam greener pastures.
But that was the best thing that could have happen for me. My new doc, asked me if I wanted to try a different approach and recommended Genesight. If interested, look it up.
It basically reads your DNA and recommends the best medication that matches your DNA. I tried the first one at the top. Which was the Pristiq. Once I started it and it was dialed in, I was able to concentrate on getting sober. It really worked.
