My indvidual art challenge - Mental illness

I'm using an old Inktober promt but with a twist. It's mental illness themed. Under each drawing I will leave info about the mental illness topic I chose.

Starting with day 1: Flight

Flight is one of four automatic defence mechanisms that are always activated for someone who's been in dangerous situations that threatened their identity and or life.

In flight you physically/ mentally/ emotionally escape your own reality to protect yourself. Similar to how a hare runs away when they notice a human. This can also be a delayed reaction from a trauma where you couldn't escape or protect yourself.

Do you know a good example of when us humans react with flight? or maybe you yourself have lots of experience with this defence mechanism. Comment and share your thoughts.

I've thought this through, and i can't recall a single instance of flight...
But maybe, that, in itself is my flight.
Not being able to remember.
I dunno.
