@Queendragonfly For a while I was angry with my parents about that, but I realized that they did the best they could with where they were mentally at in life. It’s why they didn’t understand why I hadn’t acknowledged how much they differed from how their parents treated them. In my case, it really was all a lack of understanding for each other. Granted, as a child, I couldn’t have understood where they were coming from; but that’s the root of where I’d gone wrong. I spent years screaming my pain, and that doesn’t help anyone to hear or understand me.
@Colonelmustardseed I know what you mean. Anger is healthy if dealt with the right way. It's possible to lay the axe down and see that they're just people. Not gods or super heroes.
