i don't feel like going out to the gym but have to

in order to keep my fitness up and manage my type 2 diabetes, i put on a few pounds over christmas, so now have to work them off...i just go over to use the swimming pool, i don't do any other exercise regime.....i'm better at swimming.

but i have social anxiety and it's hard for me to go outside and be around people and today i don't feel like going out....i have a fear of doing something embarrassing or being embarrassed by another person....or even being attacked or someone starting trouble with me.....as i have been attacked in my distant past, when in public.

advice? does anyone have any?
