Mental health issues or drugs dont directly cause them right? Like schizophrenia or Bi polar

The issue lies in the definitions of ’excuse’ and’ explanation.

A person’s past may help explain and clarify how they found themselves at a certain point. To fail to take ownership for that past and do the work to rise above it is to use it as an excuse for continued failure.
