Do u think it's wrong to want to live alone? (without human contact)

I'm at a point where i don't care about socializing or hearing others. Noise and hearing others talk hurt my ears. I just want solitude and a quit environment.

I think given some of the things you’ve shared about your living situation the desire to want your home life to be not like that is pretty understandable. I don’t think it’s wrong to live alone. I do think that humans are social creatures, but that doesn’t mean we have to be around people all the time. I think the amount of socializing I like spending time with friends or family has a degree of cultural influence also. Either way, there’s a huge difference between not living with other people versus living in isolation.

@WhateverWorks True. I'm longing to spend like 2 weeks completely alone. It's not possible; my family is around all the time. I just get to spend few hours a week when i go out. I'd also like to see what happens when you live in a forest on your own for few years. I'm very curious about exploring mysticism alone; i don't dare to explore the deep forest of emotions towards others.
For some, being alone is hard. For me it's being around others and getting my walls down that is a challenge.
I suck at socializing.

i think it's alright for some. i require some interaction, but not a lot. i imagine it's per the individual and i'm sure some could be fine without any contact at all

@SW-User yea exactly 😪 it's not possible for me to stay without human interaction. I have todeal with people everyday. I'm longing for some alone time😢

I am isolated, and it’s not healthy. While I do enjoy a certain amount of solitude, I don’t enjoy it all the time. You can live a semi reclusive life, but it’s good to have some social interactions.

I live alone in my house, had a roommate who I've known forever but I got weary of her childish behavior so now I'm back to being alone and don't mind it one bit. I'm also a grieving father and divorcee so maybe I'm just plumb out of seeking closeness.

Besides. I have a cat.

I am sorry for your loss. I understand needing to be alone when you have endured too much pain. I did the same thing before the pandemic, and since then, life has become more isolated. Pets can be good companions. I wish you well. 🙏@Vin53

Thank you, nice of you to say. I still have family and friends that I love, very much care for. But as far as closeness? For the last 4 years its been not remotely possible.

I know what you mean, I can relate, it does hurt my ear hearing people talk.. i do love being alone, maybe it does get addictive.. maybe some alone time especially for introverts is healthy. But I think it shouldn’t be the norm

Humans need social contact so eventually you'll feel the need. But temporarily it can be a good thing.

As a comic character or an actual person with a piece of artwork?

It’s healthy as long as you are taking it right.
