are the mental health services good where you are

they're only average where i am, and indeed ive not had great support from the mental health services throughout my entire history with mental health problems...which spans over 25 years ago.

i had a really good male social worker years back but sadly he retired, he was in his 60s...but he went the extra mile for me and really tried to help......the female social worker/ case worker who ive got now isn't as half as good....i was talking to her on the phone earlier and she said something which caused me to feel insecure....she said if i won't switch to a new antipsychotic medication that they are recommending, because the present one is not helping me.....then, what more can they (the mental health services) do for me?

which i felt was unfair of her to say and out of order, its like they are making me take a new antipsychotic or else they won't help me anymore?

i know for a fact my old social worker (phil) wouldn't of put it like that....but what can i do? as i have no other support mechanism besides my elderly parents who live far away....and the inept mental health services.

any thoughts? and are the mental health services good where you are or as just as inept?
