Being a Mental Health Therapist for me.

I’m new I just started. I’m in the last 5 months of my 4 year long program. But have gotten to be a full time therapist for 6 months now.

I love my clients and helping them grow and see the amazing quality’s they all have. It’s a beautiful gift to get to empower them. But it also gets tiring some days putting out all the emotional support and effort goes get draining. I don’t regret it as seeing the changes is worth it but I am glad I have days to rest.

Everyone deserves to have support and grow

God Almighty - You thought exactly what way i was feeling .
I was thinking the hardest jobs in the world is a psychiatrist and a mental health job .
See im listening to people for the last 15 , 16 years with mental health difficulties and im not trained or nothing and u said it , it can be very draining. I need time on my own a lot over it being honest and that could be 3 hours a night but when i see psychiatrists 10 hours a day listening to problems , that's about to take a toll on someone , i don't care who you are , that would take a toll .
A psychiatrists told me when i ssid it to her , would it take a toll on you i said listening to probems all the time ? She said to me you learn to detach . I tried it on what i was listening to for years to detach and u never can i think cause the holy spirit isn't about detachment , unless u don't feel nothing yourself
