So far I'm pleasantly surprised by Similar Worlds.

I've been hanging around different Q&A sites for many years, and I've had many strange experiences. A lot of them are run by some very biased people that lack integrity. They aren't nice, and they try to silence people that that disagree with them. They also don't encourage people to be themselves. I found Similar Worlds a few days ago. I was immediately ready for whatever abuse was in store for me here. I have to say though, the more I explore this platform, the more impressed I am. The people seem welcoming, and it's got a lot of cool features that I've never seen on Q&A sites before. I've never found a place online that feels peaceful before. I don't feel like I'm under constant attack here. It feels nice.

As long as you follow the acceptable behavior policy on the link below, you should be okay. Yet do know the algorithm is very strict on much of it. And the consequences can be harsh if not followed.

This site is very much run by the algorithm though. So, while it may not make sense, there is sort of a consistency.

It seems fair to me. Thanks.

@Chris00987 FYI that link is now apart of the actual TOS. It wasn't always though.

Now that I've read the rules, I'm starting to understand why this platform is so welcoming, and why it feels less confrontational than others. It really does seem like a good system that would potentially allow people to give their own opinions, without the fear of being harassed, or downvoted until they're silenced for not giving the same opinion as everybody else. It's well designed. I like it.

@Chris00987 There are ways around the algorithm. Yet that you'll learn through experience. Which isn't always so nice.

@DeWayfarer This algorithm you speak of, does it just look for certain words and phrases, then it removes your comments?

@Chris00987 Far more complex now. It's gone AI.

For more hints look at the bottom of this link below. Especially on "reputation". Yet keep in mind the admin will not address the algorithm at all...
