You raise a very valid and important point. I truly hope the time comes when no man feels stigmatized, hesitant or the least bit uncomfortable asking for and accepting help with their mental health struggles.

I think it's an interesting moment in history where the yin and yang can meet.
As with all the women's movement, some of us women -not all- bought into the "being strong" in a way that also women hardened. And perhaps that's how men got the chance to soften...
I hope these are all going to a medium happy equilibrium for all of us.
We can all be strong and weak, at moments, as it is required and as it is needed, from us and by us.
Hard to accept, I can understand.. Being in the giving end constantly is making it hard to move to the receiving. Similarly with the opposite polarization, if one has only learned to receive, it might be hard to gain confidence that they have enough in order to give.
You can always begin with small practices. Like, ask for help when you are doing something, instead of carrying the mentality that you are going to do it all by yourself..
And of course if you need assistance, a professional will help you to go more in depth.
