I see two big things.
1. Everyone is frustrated with the government, and a whole lot of people feel like voting doesn’t do any good. Most people are simply not aware of any constructive ways to effect change.
2. To those frustrated people who feel like they can’t solve their problems in a civilized manner, assault weapons tend to be easily available.

Sure, I hate all firearms, but that’s beside the point. I gave you a very detailed, specific definition of what qualifies as an assault weapon. That’s what is currently easy for most Americans to get their hands on and what should be banned. That’s all. What about that is hard for you to understand?

If what I described is not an assault weapon call it something else. You can call them ding dong dookies for all I care. They’re currently far too easy for most Americans to obtain.
