I ran my therapist away

I just got through talking with my therapist. He has seen no progress in me. He wants to pass the torch on to a therapist who specializes with adults that have autism. I feel stupid as i should but praying that i don't end up in jail.

If you have autism, then you need a therapist that understands the disorder and how it affects you.

Continuing to engage with a therapist who is unaware of autism and it's effects can actually be worse for you in the longer term. It's not about being stupid or not being stupid... it's about getting you the best support to head off on your healing journey.
