Just how painful is it to live with BPD?

The only person I knew with Borderline Personality Disorder is a middle aged woman, a full time executive. I met someone recently who is slated for MAID in 2027…cannot work, cannot have relationships…I can’t understand what’s going on with BPD. Do u have it?

A family member was diagnosed with a form of BPD several years ago that manifested in very disturbing ways; and remarkably, with the help of group and individual therapy, medication for a time, and a lot of courageous self-work, has come through it and is as sane as anyone.
