@ViciDraco More of it really came from past me thinking I needed to have friends to be happy when realizing older me knows I can make my own happiness.

There's no substitute for getting to know people in real life through shared interests.
I have a coffee group in town, 30 ks away. I've been going there once or twice a week, for three hours, for the last two and a half years. The friendships have developed slowly, naturally and I love them.
It endlessly fascinates me how complex the dynamics between people are.
