Mental health issue

Anyone here suffering from anxiety: did meds help you?
I am actually afraid to take anti anxiety medication and suffer after from side effects.
I would be happy to see some experiences before I take a decision.

I've had anxiety and panic attacks since I was 16, but didn't start meds until recently for cptsd symptoms, including anxiety. It helps a lot, so even tho I sometimes feel like getting of them because of side effects, I know I need to stay on them for now, and the side effects are not worse than the symptoms I have without the meds.
