Mental health is horrible

After seeing that pic of my ex last night it made me realise how bad mental health is but what鈥檚 even worse is that drs just give you medication knowing that these will slowly kill you.

They don鈥檛 tell you to meditate or to try help yourself which you can I am proof off that, they just give you tablets that will affect your body in so many ways and in the end destroy you.

When I was on medication I put on over 3st and towards the end I was borderline diabetic and had thyroid problems which I knew was all down to the medication I was being given because as soon as I came off the the tablets I lost weight and all the problems.

I see so many people who are struggling with mental health and I wish I could just tell them that they can help themselves, our minds are a dangerous place and thrive on negativity but we can fight against it.

I look back on when I was lost in that darkness that felt like my home but i never ever want to go back there.

Yesterday I actually did revisit it i suddenly felt that darkness wrap its arms around me and i actually felt scared but thankfully I managed to get away from it because i thought to myself how grateful i am to be alive, to be healthy and to have a strong mind.

My heart goes out to everyone that is struggling and i wish I could help them find the light but sadly too many are lost 馃様

I applaud you for taking your health into your own hands and realizing that we can fight our way back and don't have to give in to our thoughts. You're absolutely right about the mind. For some reason, it always wants to lean towards negativity. And all these pills that counteract each other, do no good but cause imbalances in our hormones and they never get to the root of the problem. I'm not saying that poor mental health is our fault, but it can be brought on by a very bad diet, amongst other things that bring on hormonal imbalances. If we don't have control of our own bodies, then who does? I think there's a lot more that we can do, than we sometimes give ourselves credit for. And I love that you immediately did not entertain the negative thoughts that came into your mind. You are a great inspiration to all. Please keep up the good work. You will be a great support to others who struggle with this. 馃憦馃憤
@LadyGrace thank you 馃檹馃徎 it took me many years trust me but I had an awakening when my mum died and always believe she helped guide me. I read a lot of books and one book said our mind keeps us in this negative mind because it thinks it鈥檚 protecting us crazy I know but people don鈥檛 realise it鈥檚 actually making us worse and to become so stuck, our minds are such a powerful thing and it can easily be manipulated either way. I have a friend who has fibromyalgia she says to me she cannot come off her medication because she would be worse but I know that鈥檚 her mind telling her that and if she really worked on herself and healed some of her trauma she could do it. My ex who I spoke about he feel down a rabbit hole many years ago and done his back in sadly the hospital left the problem for too long and it caused a lot of damage to his back and legs and again he was given these tablets and now his tripled in weight and tried to kill himself, he ended up having to use a wheelchair and sticks to get about because he was constantly in pain but he thanks me because one day I told him he can get himself well I told him about meditation etc and you should see him now, his walking without sticks and is slowly losing the weight so there you see it鈥檚 just our minds keeping us trapped and tbh social media because it鈥檚 so negative and keeps us in fear to the point he feel we have to stay in this darkness!! 馃様

@LittleTinks Absolutely, I read that as well, but it sure doesn't help us by doing that. At times it can feel like it's our worst enemy unless we exercise control.

Two people in our family have fibromyalgia and it's not all in the mind. I have suffered a bit with it and the pain was just excruciating but sometimes it is stress that causes it and the person can't help it, or like my daughter, my other daughter, she was in an accident and has suffered for it ever since. There are certain things we can do to control pain yes but some of these poor people have terrible immune systems from a poor diet or whatever but it's definitely not their fault. That is the worst kind of pain anyone could experience, from that or a terrible immune system. And yes trauma is a terrible trigger for fibromyalgia. I believe therapy can help tremendously. Great job with your boyfriend! However, there are many causes for fibromyalgia and for the pain that I have gone through I have worked to get to the root of the problem and find natural medications that can heal. Otherwise, my pain would be off the roof and I would be crying out and unable to sleep every night but I do know that God help me get through that as I asked him to and I asked him to help me know what to take, what natural medicine to take to stop that kind of pain and he did. And without my faith, I would not have been able to walk again but with each step, I kept repeating, "By His stripes, I am healed" and "nothing is impossible with God" and I started walking again, so yes, mentality means everything, as well as faith.
@LadyGrace yes fibromyalgia is horrible i have a few friends who have it one takes lots of medication and the other manages without because she meditates, changed her diet and tried to keep calm.. I think fibromyalgia is trauma trapped in the body that causes pain, my friend who doesn鈥檛 take medication has worked on a lot of her trauma and says she has hardly any pain now unless she eats crap or gets stressed she still had a long way to go and a lot of trauma she needs to work on where as the other friend suffers badly even on medication she doesn鈥檛 address her traumas I think she keeps them buried but she does have a lot of stress in her life with two daughters with mental health and fibro so that鈥檚 why hers will continue to be bad bless her. I have read many books on healing ourselves I also follow Joe dispenza I don鈥檛 know if you have read his books so I have no doubt that we can heal our mind, body and soul it just depends on how much work we want to put in. Don鈥檛 get me wrong I suffer with a bad back and some days I鈥檓 in pain but when I think about why I have this pain I suddenly realise it鈥檚 be because my thoughts have become negative and that鈥檚 when i meditate or go for a walk or sometimes breath work helps! I鈥檓 so grateful as well I feel that plays a huge part on helping you to stay happy and in a positive mind I鈥檓 grateful down to the smallest things and journal a lot to keep my mind positive!

@LittleTinks Yes, physical and mental therapy do go hand in hand in healing, and much prayer.
