Just needed to write this somewhere

I don’t understand how people just keep living, keep going, keep doing the same old things, the world is so hopeless and sad and I feel like the grief and rage of it all is eating me alive.

But then... I remember the power of words, of stories, to connect us, to remind us of our shared humanity. The stories we tell, the words we write... though they can't possibly fully capture the depth of despair that's engulfing our world, they have the power to ignite change, to spark empathy, to inspire action. In the darkest of times, it's the stories of resilience, of compassion, of love that sustain us, that give us hope for a better tomorrow.

These thoughts have been weighing heavily on my mind lately, and I felt compelled to share them.

who are some authors you like and why?

@robertsnj My favorite author ever is Sarah J. Maas. She writes such intricate worlds. The politics, the magic systems, the different races - it all feels so real. Then I really also love Leigh Bardugo. She's got this incredible knack for writing magic systems based on the elements, and her world-building is phenomenal. And Jennifer Armentrout. Her Blood and Ash series is a bit darker than Maas, but with a similar focus on strong female characters.

@robertsnj While I respect anyone's beliefs I'm not really religious in any way. I grew up Eastern Orthodox Christian, but once I started living on my own and reading more I made my own decision and pretty much saw all religion as made up.

@SwiftieShutterbug same religion = made up . man created god instead of god created man. what were you looking for in your opening post ? what do you write/ read?

@robertsnj Honestly was just venting on the state of the world. I literally read anything and everything. Fantasy, sci-fi, philosophy, world history, poetry, horror, thriller. Books are my life. Regrettably I don't write as much as I would like.
