Anyone have BPD?

I have a hard time determining if my emotions are appropriate and if my feelings are “real.” I will take any advice I can get.

I notice people tend to grow out of it or at least have it get milder as they age but of course your milage may vary. Try not to make any awkward scars. It is really embarrassing later. I always wear my fitbit partly to cover such a scar.

Your feelings are real. However you are not your feelings and while you cannot control everything that pops into your mind, remember that thinking is a behavior.

Having BPD is like having no skin and being required to live in a world that doesn't understand why you're so darn sensitive.

@Doomflower I agree with the last part of your comment.....but, I am 48 and it has gotten worse as I have gotten older. I've had the diagnosis of BPD for over a year now....mixed with bipolar disorder. I do dialectical therapy. It took forever to come up with the diagnosis.

I have Borderline Personality Disorder.......there are different types and it affects people's feelings and emotions differently.
