Speak with a professional about this. I had/have the same issue. I never understood why I did it until I started going to therapy and found the root. Now, when im feeling down or something bad happens, I dont buy things to try to make myself feel better. Instead, i keep telling myself the reason why im about to do it, and if i cant justify the reason then I dont purchase what I was looking at. Reason I also say that I have the same issue, is because when I slip into a deep depression state, i grow numb and start going on a shopping spree to get things to update my house or my bedroom to try to make my surroundings seem clean...mentally my mind goes to "if my room (or some other room) is updated and cleaned, then ill feel better" ....thats currently a work in progress.

You gotta talk to someone about this. I don鈥檛 see this as being something you can fix on your own.

You鈥檙e young enough the long term financial issues won鈥檛 be as bad. Good luck.

My CBT therapist asked if I had impulse shopping habits. I said no. But I think this is what he meant. You need to seek help asap. This can't be your way to cope.
