How do you recharge when you're emotionally drained?

MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
Nature. Nature. Nature and animals. Plus I stay away from social media and often go stoic for self preservation.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MoonlightLullaby yes it’s very healing to be in nature, it helps to neutralize people stress.

@cherokeepatti Most definitely. Beyond my love for nature itself, I'm a true introvert that gets exhausted from too much peopling. I also have a couple energy vampires in my family as well..🥀
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
I avoid social media like the plauge and dive in to the fictional world of TV shows and mute my phone from texts and notifications so that no one can reach me in my recharge bubble. I also visit people who have pets as they always recharge me.
Honestly I isolate myself.

Definitely not the greatest thing for my relationships and friendships.

But as an empath there really are times when nothing else really helps.

I isolate myself esp from family bc I easily get drained just by interacting with them

I used to wait it out but now it's become my default settings

Forced interactions are draining for me

Sleeping, playing with plants, spending time with dogs, reading about subjects I enjoy, going for a walk and just observing

I hope youre doing ok over there
Solitude. I’ll read something light, crochet. Something I don’t have to use my brain for. If it too bad, I see my therapist.

Get yourself into nature. Keep your phone in your bag and just hike somewhere. Works every time.

Some horrible physical exertion. Nothing takes my mind off psychological or emotional stuff like something physically exhausting and painful.
