@AdaXI do you think there would be a better treatment rather than HRT in that case?

@AdaXI i do know a lot of that already yep but just wanted to hear your opinion more than mine haha.
I get HRT works better the younger you are but still should not be given to kids while their brains have not even fully developed. We dont let kids make life long decisions that will impact the rest of their lives normally because as parents, that is your job till they reach of age where they are capable of doing it themselves yet people let their kids decide someone as extreme as chemically altering their body with no way to reverse it.
Its crazy to me.

I did wish it worked better for adults though but my main concern is with children to be completely honest.
When you're a adult, you're free to do whatever to your own body. None of my business for the most part.

I truly believe being trans these days is a fad. You come out as trans, you get all sorts of attention and praise. I think a lot of people desperately want attention more now than ever and its a easy way. Its why i believe you see these people who claim they are trans yet put no effort into passing.
Not saying there really is no trans people btw just that its odd that there seems to be more trans people than ever and detransitioners

@Torsten It's not a permanent change. Kids take puberty blockers for all kinds of reasons.

I'd take these concerns for children's welfare more seriously if the same people who just started bleating about medical care for trans kids showed the same concern for kids growing up in poverty, not having access to clean drinking water, and enduring other trauma that can have a lifelong effect. Otherwise, it sounds like you just hate trans people and don't really give a shit about "the children."

@LeopoldBloom yeah go read others experiences who have been on hormone blockers and see first hand experiences and while at it go look up side effects from it.
I get hormone blockers are used for other reasons and if its medical reasons, i cant speak out against it but when it is given to healthy children and prevents them from developing naturally and causing permanent damage i am very against it.
Children do not have the capacity to make life altering decisions such as this.
If they wanna socially transition, that makes more sense but when meds and so on are involved i am against it. Its child abuse in my opinion

@Torsten You may want to read up on how difficult this is. Conservatives think 8 year old Johnny tells his parents "I wanna be a girl" and the next week, a doctor is chopping his dick off. In reality, it can take years to even get an appointment with a specialist and the kid will have to show a history of presenting as the opposite sex.

And yeah, there are side effects from every drug.

@LeopoldBloom sex reassignment surgery is not a easy process to get approved for. Hormone blockers and testosterone or estrogen are very easy to get though

@Torsten They may be easy to get in Norway and other European countries, but they're not easy to get here.
