Could not agree more. It's like way the media does the one-off "Was it her drive to be perfect that killed her" story and then drowns it in pieces about who wore it better, who's looking old, who had work, swimsuit bods and so on.
We pay plenty of lip service to mental illness and 8 out of 10 people today are walking around touting their own labels - diagnosed or not. Like everything else serious on the country, it's been relegated to cute videos, memes, stuffed animals and experts of nothing telling genuinely ill people how to conduct themselves.
Mental illness is hard, it's sometimes ugly, it includes addictions...and no one wants to go beyond picking out the perfect binaural music for their own zen.
