Mental Health

Any advise on, How you cope with your mental health issues without medication?

In real life, the only advise I have got is "It's not real" , "Just get over it" and "you dont have anything to worry about in your life".

😒 I did believe that advise for a while.

Unsurprisingly it didnt help. 😎(just used this emoji for no reason).

Yes.
1. Learn to recognise when it happens. Like you are watching yourself and say, oh, ok, this is anxiety or depression or a psychotic episode. This is important. It isn't life, it's a mental health issue.
2. Recognise that, logically, mental health issues distort your perception. Tell yourself, ok, this is what I'm thinking and feeling and wanting to do... but today is not a good day to make big decisions or decide how life is going. The answer will be bad, so put those things aside today. Stop thinking about these things.
3. Turn to the non-destructive ways to distract yourself or find comfort. Go for a run. Talk to someone. Read. Anything.
4. When you are in a better state of mind, then you can make decisions or decide how good life is.
I often went weeks like this - simply not giving chronic depression space to run destructive ideas in my head. There's a bit more to how I came out without drugs, but this 'distancing' yourself from it is a key strategy.
