Shadow Work

Has anyone done it or is doing it and have found they want to embrace aspects of their shadow instead of removing them?

Until synthesis of the self is reached, there can be no authentic person.

Be careful about differentiating the shadow from the self; they're of the same substance and same soul. In fact, it's really just the mistaken image of a humanoid shadow cast by unresolved injuries, pain and resentments piled in the corner.

@Graylight but surely the whole point of identifying it as different is the point, it makes it easier to see the negative aspects of the shadow as something different to who you are/want to be

@Beautifullyderanged Yrue. But make sure your identifying traits, not an 'othe' self. It often makes accountability and synthesis more difficult.
