I’m learning how useful “block” and “mute” are

Also, you can stop receiving notifications when someone comments on a post.

This is good for your mental health.

I have never muted anyone and have only occasionally blocked people here, but I am glad we have those options available to us. answerMug didn't allow blocking during the brief time I was there and I wasn't too happy about it. One of several reasons why I left the site.

@Rutterman I think I used “block”, “mute” and “stop notification” more in the past three hours than I have since I started on EP back in 2013.

I didn’t used to be the kind of person to just write people off. But I’ve discovered I can only tolerate bullsh1t up to a certain point, before I need to start avoiding it to preserve my mental health.

@SmartKat I totally understand. My tolerance for toxic people and their bullshit has decreased quite a bit. I mostly just ignore them, but I'm thinking I might have to start blocking more of these folks.
