Low Self-Esteem is different to Depression

For a long time now, I've felt that I don't know what to do with my life.
Whenever I tried something and it doesn't work out, I tend to call myself a failure.

Even if it's trying something different like painting, writing or even some sort
of exercise, I always get that nagging feeling that I will fail.

As each passing day goes by, I tend to neglect even the most basics (like food, sleep, washing up, etc).

It was then I looked up and found out that I have low self-esteem.

Self-Esteem is pretty much how we feel about ourselves and depending
on how much we have we either have huge confidence to achieve every thing
or do the complete opposite (Like I am).

Low self-esteem is different to depression, even though they have the same characteristics they are not the same.

Sure they have the same Negative Feelings, Relationship troubles, finding it hard to put a lot of effort into something.

But what separates Low Self-Esteem to depression is that people with low self-esteem doesn't have any thoughts into committing to suicide.

Still to this day, the topic is taboo to most of today's society and it's sickening that the number is on the rise and no one, not even the governments is doing something to prevent it.

It's like they just sit there and hope that it goes away, if only it was that
simple. However the harsh truth is that it is not and it will never go away.

There should be a day where everyone should be aware of low self-esteem and help out others who are suffering about it, just like when they are making aware about depression.

If you or someone you know (family relative, friend, spouse, etc.) then you should give yourself (them) some compliments or do something that would boost the self-esteem.

i agree that we all need to help people with low self esteem, as low self esteem can affect anyone at any time.
