Toxic masculinity

When I first heard it the 90s it was referring to men who were too embarrassed or nervous to go to a doctor about the possible onset of prostrate cancer, and there was a demographic of men dying young because of the stigma surrounding being checked and treated.

But now it literally means anything a person can think of to criticise or hate men. No matter how vague or unreasonable. Social progress is a peach.

Some men try too hard to be manly. I noticed that the more macho a man behaves, the more insecure they really are privately. Nevertheless, I agree with you! The toxic masculinity term has become too generic and used as a means to invalidate people.
