Toxic masculinity

When I first heard it the 90s it was referring to men who were too embarrassed or nervous to go to a doctor about the possible onset of prostrate cancer, and there was a demographic of men dying young because of the stigma surrounding being checked and treated.

But now it literally means anything a person can think of to criticise or hate men. No matter how vague or unreasonable. Social progress is a peach.

Replacing masculinity with a masculine female in the movies and tv is what Hollywood has been doing and so far its not working very well . Disney has been doing that with their disney + shows and movies .
@Fa8393 Hollywood has basically run out of ideas. It seems like most mainstream box office films involve characters fighting an enemy. Masculine and aggressive characters are glorified in many mainstream movies. I think the biggest concept promoted in Hollywood gilms is brawn and violence is the only way to achieve a goal. Regardless of gender or preference.
