how should you deal with unfriendly - stern health professionals

have you ever had the misfortune to encounter such an individual working in the NHS or health profession? they are stern, unfriendly and abrupt with you - to the point- i luckily have a great gp/doctor now....but i have encountered these stern unfriendly health professionals in the past...and to be honest it really upset me and made me feel unnerved.

if i was unfortunate enough to encounter such so called health professionals in the future with an stern abrupt - to the point manner....how should you deal with them?

I think a lot of doctors can lack polished social skills because they basically spent the majority of their time studying. Personally, I wouldn't much care if my doctor was abrupt or unfriendly, as long as they knew exactly what they were doing and were able to diagnose and treat me properly.

@SW-User unfortunately, in my experience, those who have less empathy, and can't pick up nonverbal communication, also are the ones who miss diagnoses more.
