I can't think of anything that makes me cringe harder than political memes

It's just people hijacking a template used for cheap laughs to virtue signal for even cheaper laughs from their in-group. It's basically a shitpost masquerading as dialogue, except that you can't really stoop any lower than that in a conversation so there's never a logical retort. The only recourse usually ends up being another political meme or gif until the one side or the other realizes that it's far too stupid to continue wasting time on

Not a big fan of political cartoons either, but at least there's some cleverness and originality there. It's probably the lowest form of satire, but at least there's something to comment on and critique
