I remember in teen days I once tried to be more social than usual by cutting the usual distance with someone I liked (I usually stay about 2-3M away out of shyness and some kind of traditional old school idea about respecting "their space"). I tried to act casual and confident by standing close and even by biting into my lovely green apple next to this guy while talking. First time I made a step towards someone. It seemed like he automatically smiled a little extra. I am certain that my acting attempt was failed and funny to watch.. I was embarrassed but maintained the show. I learned that day that I prefer to make people laugh as opposed to the awkward serious silence xD I think it was so difficult to "act relaxed" but the more you attempt, the easier it gets! I work a job that requires a lot of communication and nobody knows that I am actually super duper mega shy :)
