Is abortion still about eugenics?

When did the rationale about abortion change from eugenics to a woman's right to choose? Is the Negro Project really over or did it just morph into something more palatable? Abortion is abortion. Does its status as right or wrong depend unpon the rationale justifying its use? Is it right for China to fine tune its population through abortion? What can be done about the surplus of Chinese men due to preference among Chinese to abort baby girls?

Should a man have any rights in the abortion decision?

Just curious about these issues.

I don’t recall abortion ever being for that reason. So I’m going to go with a meaning changing over time, which there is nothing wrong with that. Something that could have had a negative beginning, doesn’t still need to carry a negative emotion when the procedure is logically beneficial. It’s normal for a species to fine tune which offspring continues to live. Of course the rationale justifies it’s use because intention is what’s most important.

China has a culture issue, not an abortion issue. If that is your problem, push for society to value women more. Don’t minimize our rights to control our own body to push some pro-life narrative.

No, they are not the ones who are expected to always care for that baby no matter what. Society puts a lot more pressure on women and mothers, than they do men. It’s also not their body that is going to be permanently changed or damaged.

@666Maggotz The social benefits to society of abortion were originally discussed by the precursor of Planned Parenthood in conferences in Nazi Germany. Keeping down the rate of growth of the black and Jewish populations in America was a primary driver. Some in American academia currently claim that the higher propensity of blacks to have abortions has led to a decrease in crime from what it otherwise would have been. Is this a desirable outcome?

@irishmolly72 I’m aware of the history. I’m just aware that the average person today who supports abortion doesn’t support it for those reasons, and that’s all that matters. This is coming from a Jewish woman btw. Many reasons can lead a woman to want an abortion. Would you rather the government control what black or Jewish women can do with our body? Do you honestly think we are too stupid to make our own choices, we need the feds involved?

@666Maggotz The feds have relegated the decision to the states where it belongs. So the feds, technically, are not involved now. Yet there is the woke uproar. How strange.

@irishmolly72 Why does it belong there though? It's an individual choice, or at least my country has the respect to understand?

@irishmolly72 the government, whether it be state or federal, should NEVER be involved in our life decisions. This issue is between a woman and her doctor- not the government.
