Has anyone ever died in their dream?

I never have but of course I've had a ton of dreams where I should have. Some in science came up with a theory, they believe you don't die in a dream, because the brain doesn't no what absolute death is like. Do you agree with this theory?

I've died in dreams. First time I just laid there, decomposed and flowers grew out of me. Usually my dream state just discomobulates from the narrative it was following and floats around in silence for a while until a new thing pops up and a sense of self follows that. Basically a new dream starting in the middle of the old one.
