Surface (area) of a star = 10^15 sq miles. Surface (area) of our planet = 10^11 sq miles. [I Like Mathematics]

How many times greater is the star's area?

Are these completely random numbers? How do we know thats a stars size? And what star?

The easy awnser 10^4 but are you asking for a ratio or a percentage... confusing question.
Riemann · 31-35, M
@krf336 From a math book. Pls give both.

@Riemann if I have done the math right the percentage bigger would be,
99900000000000÷10^15 = .0999 * 100 = 9.9% larger. Maybe you can round up.

@krf336 I am not good with ratios, so I won't attempt that. I think the percentage is right but its been awhile since I had to calculate this kind of thing.
