If x is divided by 45, the remainder is 23. What is that number?

If that x is divided by 9, what is the remainder?

X=45*n + 23, n is any natural number.
For the second question the remainder is 5.
Because 45 or 45n divided by 9 gives no remainder but 23/9 =2 and the remainder is 5. No matter what integer n the answer for the 2nd one is always 5 !!!
