Why don't horse owners have to clean up their pet's mess?

Went hiking in a county park. There were signs about dog owners cleaning up their dog's mess. However the signs for the horseback trails never expect the owners to clean up after their horse's mess, which is much larger and left right on the trail.

Oh, get over it. Fo you think horse owners carry large shovels and bags with them. It is manure. It breaks down. If that bothers you so much, you are sunk. Cripes. Lighten up.

@PoetryNEmotion On a meadow maybe, but Kramjj was talking about footpaths, and I would expect riders to return and clean up the stinking mess in streets, outside people's homes.
@ArishMell I have known riders and been a rider. Never heard of such a thing. A horse can go in the grass. Should we stop riding in public because horses crap? The world is getting narrower and so are people's minds.

@PoetryNEmotion The OP is talking about paths in the countryside, where perhaps it is less of a problem; but where I live there are riders who use residential streets, and it's unpleasantly obvious some do not bother to come back and clean up after their animals.

It's not a matter of narrow minds at all. It's not a matter of stopping people from riding horses.

It's a matter of consideration for others, and if that means removing your pet's faeces from the road in front of other people's houses, what's wrong with that?

After all, it's an offence to leave your dog's droppings - and ordinary litter - in the street, farmers and quarry companies are expected to minimise their work vehicles leaving mud on the roads, fly-tipping is a serious offence although naturally very hard to apply; so why should horse-riders be above that?
@ArishMell I think people need something to complain about. I think people are also jealous of people who can afford to own horses. Why birds crap. Maybe outlaw them next? Cats crap outside? Should their owners follow them around? Clean up after them? I do not want cats crapping in my gardens and flower beds. Getting a bit ridiculous. Surely the poster and the people outraged at horse manure can take out their outrsge on something more meaningful? Perhaps not. Small, angry people...

@PoetryNEmotion That lot is beneath you as well as totally missing the point.

@PoetryNEmotion where did you interpret outrage in my post? I'm merely presenting the issue of different treatment for the same thing based on the type of animal it is.
@kramjj Get real.
