Why don’t other mammals’ hairs lose color as they age?

Why does that seem to be a uniquely human phenomenon?

They go grey when they get older....

@SumKindaMunster I’ve owned Boston terriers. They never went gray, except for the one that was born gray. I have two Cavapoos now, but they’re still really young.

@Theyitis Hm, didn't know that. I've seen bears with gray hair when they get old.
