To let you know the real me and risk pain and rejection
To hide who I really am and keep it somewhat simple
It takes courage to allow oneself to be rejected.
It’s intimidating.
Which would you choose?

i am sure there are things about you that will not make people reject you as whatever terrible crime or shame you are hiding cannot be all that bad as some of similar worlds . i can see you want too get it off your chest and fear it is a big gamble you are taking ,if you are scared of the scenario of rejection there is an old saying you know what people do not know does not hurt them [spyfool51]

"To let you know the real me and risk pain and rejection" or alternatively, "To let you know the real me and find acceptance and for once, a safe harbor for my heart".

I'd recommend that you construct an internet personality which is completely independent of your real self. That's much more interesting, because, you are yourself anyway. Why not being someone else?

A virtual identity. I know that’s the present for some the future for most. But personally …I’m glued to …me and understanding me

@Mindful Ophelia and MacBeth are virtual people; that's what makes them interesting. They are carefully constructed. I don't think Shakespeare's brother-in-law was as intriguing as MacBeth.
