On the bright side, while these concerns are valid, they're not necessarily exclusive to child-rearing. People have had children during war, through recessions, following break ups, dealing with medical problems, and even while putting up with annoying friends, family, and neighbors.

Difficulties are a part of life, and no matter how hard you try, it's impossible to completely shield your child from all of it. The important thing is that you love and support them. You keep doing that and they'll be alright.

Although I totally get the need to have less stress in your life, because children are going to feed off that energy even if they don't understand what's going on. I think it's best to work on your own relationship to stress and anxiety before worrying about the other stuff.

I think it's encouraging that you have these thoughts because they show that you care, so that can be part of your strategy to combat the stress. Lean into your values. Believe things will be alright because you care, and parents who show they care create children who learn to care themselves
