Tonight, I ache for you
in so many ways.

I want to feel you,
feel you inside me,
inside my body,
inside my mind.

I miss you.
I miss your desire.
I miss your laughter.

I miss the woman I was with you,
the man you were with me.

I miss us
and the way you made me feel.

I did what I had to do.

But, damn…

It’s really difficult
letting go of someone
who mattered this much.
