I never realised how touch-starved I was until yesterday

I was having lunch with a friend yesterday like I do every Monday, and she put her hand on mine in what I'm guessing was an act of reassurance. Either way, that skin contact - all 3 seconds of it - felt like every fibre of my being being supercharged simultaneously.

I don't know. Maybe I'm more lonely than I thought.
